Business Development Manager
For 24 years, Speedwell has been recognised as one of Queensland's best-performing digital development agencies, delivering digital solutions to enterprise and government clients across Australia. Reporting directly to the CEO, your responsibility will be to lead the new business activity to build pipeline, win new customers, and smoothly hand over customers to the Delivery team. You will play a critical role in selling long-term, commercially viable tech-enabled customer experience projects and retainers that allow us to continue to meet growth targets and ambitions.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience dealing with senior stakeholders in enterprise and government clients including Chief Information Officers, Chief Digital Officers and Chief Marketing Officers. They will also have experience in responding to tenders and writing engaging proposals relating to complex and integrated digital solutions.

  • Develop, maintain and manage a new business sales pipeline
  • Write proposals and tender responses with the technical support from the Speedwell team
  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets
  • Generating and follow leads in a timely and professional manner
  • Engage in the community and be the face of Speedwell at industry events
  • Tracking and reporting of sales process

Skills and experience
  • 10+ years experience solution selling in a digital consulting services, systems integration or web development agency or organisation.
  • You have sold complex solutions requiring scalability, security planning, digital customer experience and technical integration.
  • You are experienced at dealing with management and executive layers of mid-large tier enterprise and government clients.
  • Your passion is at the intersection of digital technology and the MarTech stack.

    Mid-Senior Developer
    Speedwell is Queensland's largest independent web and mobile development firm. Established in 1997 our success and growth are based on our reputation as digital engineers who deliver robust scalable enterprise-level solutions. We develop award-winning business-focused web and mobile solutions for national & international brands including Allianz GA, Zarraffas, G8 Education, Sime Darby as well as Federal and state government agencies. The Mid Senior Developer (SD) is a key member of the studio team, a technical representative of Speedwell to its clients, and a mentor for other developers.

    Key Duties
    • To develop software in appropriate languages and platforms.
    • To configure server-side application such as IIS.
    • To support and maintain existing systems.
    • To deploy systems to staging and production environments.

    You are...

    C#.Net development specialist with at least 3 years commercial experience and degree qualified. You are looking for a new challenge – moving beyond web marketing brochures into seriously functional web applications – and you have a genuine passion for quality.

    You have…
    • Advanced computer software skills including, but not limited to, Java, C#, .NET.
    • Good SQL skills including table design, indexes, primary keys, and relationships.
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate to a diverse range of people.
    • Good communication skills.
    • Proven track record of accurate estimation

    You have a solid and demonstrable mix of skills in:
    • C# .Net MVC and ORM (e.g., Entity Framework)
    • Web database-driven applications (MS SQL preferred)
    • HTML/CSS/JavaScript/Frameworks (including jQuery/Angular/React/Bootstrap)
    • CSS pre-processors (LESS/SASS)
    • Integrating to RESTful APIs
    • CMS (Umbraco/Sitecore preferred)
