THE CHALLENGE

Zarraffa’s Coffee are committed to delivering quality products, service, and experiences to their loyal coffee community. They chose Speedwell as their design and app development partner as they wanted to deliver an easy-to-use app, high-quality experience, that provides value to their members.

 

Speedwell was also selected due to our expertise and experience in Salesforce integrations, user experience (UX) design, mobile user interface (UI) design and mobile app development capabilities. OUR APPROACH

Our Speedwell project team utilised agile methodology to deliver the project on time and on budget. Zarraffa’s Coffee user research and staff feedback guided the app’s functionality. Zarraffa’s Coffee are a customer centric organisation and feedback from research highlighted critical needs and desires for the app:
  • Browse the menu and understand dietary and nutritional information.
  • Transfer existing membership Z$ onto the new digital apps.
  • Seamlessly recover passwords and membership accounts
  • Ability to earn and redeem Zarraffa’s Z$.
  • An easier way for instore staff to find and validate their Zarraffa’s Coffee membership.

THE SOLUTION

Zarraffa’s Coffee already had a well-established community of coffee lovers who have a high expectation for level of service and timely member communications. Member email and SMS communications before the project were delivered regularly via Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

A critical requirement of the project was the ability for the Zarraffa’s Coffee Marketing Team to manage and update app content, our ability to deliver the app on time, on budget and with a two-way Salesforce Marketing Cloud integration. Not only did Speedwell achieve this, but we also gave members the ability to manage their email and SMS marketing preferences from the app.

The result was a highly functional, user research backed app that uses UX and UI best practices to engage and grow the Zarraffa’s Coffee community. Since launch the Zarraffa’s Coffee community has embraced the app with over 10,000 app downloads in the first month. Feedback from the client is that the app has increased:
