PPQ wanted a mobile responsive website that would deliver a high degree of personalisation for the end-user and real-time integration with multiple systems.
THE CHALLENGE
Between June 2014 and March 2015 Speedwell was engaged to redevelop PPQ’s core eBusiness platform, web and mobile network as one system. The system was required to integrate with Queensland’s Dept. of Transport & Main Roads (TMR) licencing and registration systems. The integration had to be in real time to enable TMR’s core systems to search and validate product availability and create orders in a 3rd party fulfilment provider’s platform.
THE SOLUTION
Speedwell utilised the design assets provided by PPQ to build and implement a mobile responsive website using the Sitecore Experience Platform to manage the end-to-end customer experience. The site was designed to be highly interactive, giving customers options and flexibility to create their own product.
Ongoing services included: general consulting, account management, platform strategy, web design, User Experience (UX) & User Interface (UI) design, web development, mobile development, project development and implementation, quality assurance, deployment, support and maintenance.
INTERACTIVE AND RESPONSIVE
A dynamic “Create a Plate” feature was built to enable customers to personalise their plates. Plate range and plate design compatibility business rules were implemented through a rules engine to allow customers to explore their plate options in an interactive and non-linear way.
The experience needed to allow customers to change their mind within the same interactive session, and to further enhance the customer experience, the feature would proactively deliver suggestions of alternative combinations available.
INTEGRATION
The solution was PCI Security standard hardened and additionally, Live Person Chat was installed and configured. Real-time integration was delivered across the following systems and platforms:
- Transport Main Roads Core Licensing System to validate product availability in real time
- Experian QAR for address validation, and Typography.com for font management
- Third party provides fulfilment platform to create orders (included payment gateway build)
- Vision 6 Email Direct Marketing Platform
THE RESULTS
The project took six (6) months from initiation to the deployment of Phase One and saw a significant step change in revenue and conversion for PPQ, driving greater yield and generating efficiencies within the business. Currently the solution processes around $40m per annum of revenue for PPQ.
Subsequent roll-out of CRM integration will drive marketing automation and longer term revenue through digital engagement.
